Interior Car Floor Mats Are A Must Have For Living 18

Interior Car Floor Mats Are A Must Have For Living In The Northwest

Living in the state of Washington requires driving in all types of weather conditions. Whether I’m driving in rain, slush, snow or its dry and dusty, my vehicle’s interior floor was vulnerable to a quick deterioration if left unprotected. Repeated, everyday use and exposure to the elements a vehicle’s floor will quickly devalue your vehicle’s appearance. Here’s a list of the most common offenders to damaging your vehicle’s interior floor:

- Foot friction wear from the driver and passengers entering and exiting
- Moisture- rain, slush, snow
- Mud and road grime
- Fast food and sticky soda pop that spills
- Shoe grime and crude stuck to your shoe

For maximum protection of my Chevy Suburban’s interior, I accessorized it with custom, form fitting WeatherTech floor liners for the first, second and third rows and a WeatherTech cargo liner for the back. Now every inch of floor space throughout my spacious Suburban is protected.

Before I bought the WeatherTech floor liners and cargo liner products, I wanted to shop to find the best product for my vehicle and my lifestyle. What I discovered while shopping was a vast selection of floor mats, floor liners and cargo liners. There is such a difference between manufacturers, price, materials used and the fit.

For me, living in Washington State with its temperamental weather conditions, l needed all-weather floor liners that would fully protect and shield my vehicle’s OEM carpet. Only after researching all the different types of floor mats available, did I realize carpet floor mats are better suited for drier climates typical of the southern part of the United States. Hence, all floor mats and liners are not all alike and have different features for different climates.

Once I narrowed my search down to finding all weather floor protection products, I could look at the difference between all rubber or high tech poly-based materials – floor mats and floor liners. The difference between a mat and liner isn’t as obvious as it may seem. A floor mat is easily removable and doesn’t cover the whole floor area. Today’s floor liners are digitally, custom molded and shaped to the vehicle’s interior specifications for a quality fit and maximum protection.

For me the choice was easy with kids, Labrador dogs and an active life, I chose to go with floor liners by WeatherTech. The liners fit every exposed inch of my vehicle’s interior floor. The appearance is complementary to my upholstery and dash. Clean up of the floor mats is easy by simply vacuuming and lightly wiping any remaining dirt off with a damp cloth. I am quite satisfied with my purchase of the WeatherTech floor mat and cargo liner and would recommend them to anyone looking for a superior floor protection product.

Car Mats 20

It has been a while since cars have been considered as a luxury. Even exotic cars like the sports models can be seen cruising on the roads with increasing frequency. Even though affording a car might be easy with all the easy pay installments and other schemes that the manufacturers in todays market are coming up with, the owners still have to spend a lot in addition to the price of the car. Showroom prices for the cars usually do not include all the fittings such as the guards, interior seat covers, car mats, cargo liners, floor shields, and other such interior protection items. A car wash can get the car to look squeaky clean, but keeping the interiors sparkling and neat also matters.

Car mats are one interior furnishing used in all the cars, be they decorative and luxurious or everyday. But basically all kinds of car mats serve the same purpose. Car mats are used so that the car floor does not get dirty with use – the car may be used in all kinds of weather. Without these, slush, mud and dirt can permanently spoil the floor. Car mats are an easy way out as they are removable and can be cleaned easily.

Car mats come in a variety of materials, the most common being the rubberized ones. These are made of heavy-duty rubber and have a good grip at the bottom. They fit the car interior perfectly to avoid discomfort while driving. Since most of them are anti-skid, there would no chance of them slipping from under the drivers seat. Also, they are lined or sculpted on the top to trap the dirt, water and slush so it does not slip into the car flooring.

If you have a luxurious car such as the BMW, Mercedes or Alfa Romeo, you can go for a custom designed car mat made of materials such as sheepskin and leather; you can even have different piping for that special look. These would be available in a wide range of colors and are just as durable as the rubber mats. A custom fit would give an exotic and expensive look to the car interior.

Car mats are very useful, particularly during rain and in dusty places. They can conveniently be removed and dusted at ones convenience. It is good practice to get the car mat cleaned frequently to prevent the grooves getting filled up with mud, and to thus make sure it serves its purpose. Since rubber car mats are quite affordable compared to getting the carpet flooring cleaned often, it is now a common practice to get the car fitted with a car mat.

Car mats serve an important protective function in your car, especially for your more treasured, expensive models.

6 Must Have Auto Accessories 12
Nov

Buying a new car is an experience that few will ever forget: the smell, the pristine interior, and the flawless ride are some of the things enjoyed by new car owners. Yet, despite how well equipped even the most expensive cars can be, oftentimes they leave the showroom with several accessories missing. No, they werent stolen; instead, for some queer reason these must have accessories were not included with the sale. Lets take a look at six accessories every vehicle should have.

Floor mats You have got to be kiddingno floor mats?! Oddly, floor mats are the chief accessory typically not included with any sale. Instead, you get a throwaway paper sheet for the driver. Without floor mats in place you can bet that the interior will be soiled in short order. Worse, if you wait too long your carpeting could be damaged which is especially bad news for you if you lease your vehicle. Just wait til you see the price of replacing damaged automotive carpeting!

Cargo liners Like the interior, the cars trunk area is subject to dirt, debris, mud, the elements, and more. Some automakers have wised up over the years and included cargo liners as standard equipment while others make a cargo liner an expensive add-on, after-the-sale accessory for buyers.

Bug shields If you live in a humid climate, a bug shield is a must. No automaker offers one as standard equipment; if you want to protect your hood and windshield a bug shield is a must. Also marketed as bug deflectors.

Car bra Sure, they are stylish, but a car bra is much more than that. Offering protection to your grille and to the front part of your hood, a car bra can help deflect debris kicked up from the road. Who hasnt come across that sort of problem while traversing our interstates?

Brake dust shields No, there isnt a safety aspect with a dust shield, but there certainly are aesthetic reasons why they make sense. You spent a lot for your tires and wheels, so why go through the hassle of a weekly cleaning just to keep your car looking great? Dust shields limit the dust so that you can do what you really want to do: drive.

Car cover Whether you keep your car garaged or whether you leave it outside, a car cover is essential toward protecting your vehicles finish. Indoor air pollution and dust can damage a garaged vehicle; solar rays, moisture, bird poop, wind, and small impacts can damage exposed vehicles. For less than $200 you can buy a four layer, breathable car cover that will offer the protection your car so desperately needs.

So, there you have it. Six essential auto accessories for every vehicle. Youll pay a mint for each accessory if you let your dealer add them in after the sale, so why not shop online with Car Stuff to find everything you need for your car and for less?
